SPECIFICATIONS OF THE PA SYSTEM DEPENDS ON:

  • Operational customer requirements.
  • The environment in which it is to operate.
  • The loudspeaker type able to cope with the ambient noise level & the environment in which it is used.
  • Input source i.e. microphone/music/tones or telephone interface.
  • Area zone requirements.
  • Amplifier requirements.
  • Selection of the right cabling as to conform to requirements.
  • Is an induction loop required.

SELECTION OF AMPLIFIERS

Amplifiers on smaller systems are known as mixer amplifiers in which the volume & tone controls are integrated into one unit, these units are rated from 30watts to 480watts at 100 volt line output to speakers.

Amplifiers for larger systems are known as power or slave amplifiers and require a separate mixer control these units are 60, to 1000 watts 100 volt line output to the speakers and are fitted into 19” rack units.

 

Speakers commonly used are:

1, Horn for high noise areas music reproduction poor speech good.
2, Projection horns medium noise areas for music and speech.
3, Ceiling speakers for cutting into suspended ceilings good for music and speech.
4, Suspension projectors for high bay areas wide coverage good music and speech reproduction.
5, Pendants ideal for medium bay areas for music and speech.
6, Cabinet speakers for wall fixing for music and speech.

7, 600 x 600 speaker panels.

 

RACK MOUNTED EQUIPMENT

All equipment mounted in a rack is standard 19" and is from 1u - 4u in height for each piece of equipment fans are fitted where ventilation is required on large rack builds and a monitor unit can be fitted if required, rack shelves are also fitted where aux. equipment is fitted into the 19" rack ie: C D Player /Announcement unit /Tuner.

 

BUILDING OF RACK MOUNTED EQUIPMENT TO REQUIREMENTS

We build our own racks units and looms and use specialist contractors in the building of these units to our and your specifications

 

 

SPECIFICATION AND MANUALS

Manuals and diagrams are supplied with every build from the large to the small Public Address System.

 

 

TRAINING ON THE USE AND CARE

C D Training disk can be supplied on the care and use of the equipment if required. ( This can be accessed via power point microsoft or other suitable media)

 

INDUCTION LOOPS FOR THE HARD OF HEARING

This is now an important issue if you have a reception desk or places open to the public ie places of worship, large public areas, shop counters, payment areas , libraries the requirement is to inform all persons including the partially deaf . Re the discrimination act

( Note- Portable induction loop systems have proved quite popular along with fixed installed systems)

 

TESTING & COMMISSIONING

All testing and commissioning of Systems installed are issued with a set out Inspection Certificate and signed by our qualified Sound Installation Engineer our Company Inspector also carry's out NICEIC inspection tests on all of our Electrical Installations we carry out our Enrollment No is 19062.
